Election 2020 Update – Thursday, November 5

The Monroe Charter Township Clerk’s Office would like to dispel the incorrect information being shared throughout social media regarding the use of Sharpie markers on the ballot and the validity of your vote. Sharpie markers are actually the preferred method from the manufacturer due to the fact that they dry quickly. When the ballots are printed, none of the ballot marking circles on the front will coincide with any ballot marking circles on the back of the ballot. Any bleeding through will not affect your vote. The tabulators are programmed to recognize issues with your ballot at the time you are attempting to cast your vote giving you, as the voter, an opportunity to correct your ballot or spoil it for issuance of a new one.

Your Opinion Matters

How would you describe Monroe County? What are our characteristics? As a community of diverse races, age groups and ideals, what is it that makes us the same and how do we tell that story? The Monroe County Link Image and Brand Pillar Team is wondering the same thing! To help them answer these questions, the BDC contracted with the Phire Group with the goal of creating a brand for Monroe County that captures our essence while maintaining the individuality of our communities. But we need your help!We ask that you take two minutes to complete a survey so we can capture your opinion. PLUS you will have a chance to receive a $25 gift card and inaugural t-shirt!

We appreciate you, your time, and your commitment to Monroe County!

We need your input!

Please take a few minutes to fill out a survey regarding walking and bicycling. We are trying to gauge the level of support for the Monroe Trail Loop among residents and visitors of the area. Your responses will help us plan for the future of the trail.

The survey is available HERE.
