Custer Ball 2018

Monroe Charter Township sponsors the Custer Baseball/Softball program each summer. This program is dedicated to giving children aged 3-15 the opportunity to participate in a competitive, yet fun summer recreational program. The 2018 season will begin on Monday, June 4th and last approximately 7 weeks. Coed Little Sluggers will play one game a week.

Open registration begins on Monday, March 5th between the hours of 8:30 pm and 4:30 pm at the Township Hall. 

Player registrations and applications to coach or umpire will be taken between March 5th and April 20th  at the Township Hall Supervisor’s Office during normal office hours (Monday–Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Prospective coaches and those interested in umpiring (at least 14 years of age) may sign up at the Township Hall.

The Monroe Charter Township offices are open 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Board meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.

Special Clean Up Day For Flood Victims

SATURDAY, April 28, 2018

9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This a Special Community Clean-Up Day to allow Monroe Charter Township households affected by the flooding during the weekend of April 14th and 15th.

Dumpsters will be located in the parking lot at Piper Cove Marina located at 13468 LaPlaisance Road next to Woodchuck Creek in Avalon Beach.

No concrete or hazardous materials, such as paint, oil or propane tanks will be accepted. Hazardous materials may be disposed of at the Township Park, 4925 East Dunbar Road on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Township will also be hosting our normal Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 19, 2018 form 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Dumpsters will be located in the rear parking lot between the Township Playground and the Nature Center on Barron’s Way (Behind the Township Hall), located at 4925 East Dunbar Road.

The Tire Recycling Program is held the last Wednesday of each month from April through July at the Monroe County Drain Commission Office, 1005 South Raisinville Road, Monroe, MI 48161. Dates are April 25th, May 30th, June 27th, and July 25th. The site will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This service is for Monroe Charter Township residents only. Proof of residency may be required. For more information call 241-5501.
